I've been hosting local poker nights, over 200 games over the last 6 years, trying to host a game just about once a week. Literally saw two straight flushes on the same night once, blew my fucking mind
It annoys me that people never seem to celebrate when getting a Royal Flush. It doesn't even get much reaction from anyone around the table. The crowd and all the players should be going absolutely nuts.
I hit a Royal Flush at a 1-2 blind table at Cherokee casino in NC in 2016 as my last hand in what would have busted me out of the table… won $36 to stay in. Ace & 10 of Diamonds
I once got quad 2's on the flop, went all-in and a guy who had a pair of A's called and got quad A's on turn and river. Can't even imagine how gutted I was
The royal with Helppi was a terrible pot. They both checked until the river. One should’ve made the other commit. Either one would’ve called or raised. The rarest hand in poker and your opponent has pocket aces. Wow!
Luckily I got a hold of one of Rabahs family members and told me what Rabah had against McAllisters Royal flush. I’m a man of my word and won’t reveal it to anyone but I got to say it wasn’t the hardest lay down. It surely wasn’t the easiest but knowing his hand, he should’ve made the fold a lot sooner but it’s still great poker.
